Joann Dunn McKaig of Dayton, TN, formerly of Bonifay, FL passed away on Friday, April 09, 2021. She was 81.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2021 at Black Community cemetery with Rev. Gene Hauser officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.

Mrs. Joann was born in Black, AL on December 28, 1939 to the late Ira Barner and Annie Spann McDonald. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially working in her flowerbeds and going fishing with her husband, Micky.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Lee Dunn; two brothers, Jack Wayne and Wilburn Earl McDonald and one sister, Yvonne Dunn.

She is survived by her husband, Michael W. “Micky” McKaig of Dayton, TN; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Dunn Barton (Joe) of Panama City, FL; two sons, James Dunn (Charline) and Jerry Dunn (Barbara) all of Bonifay, FL; two step-sons, Steven Douglas McKaig (Esther) of Lawrenceburg, KY and Jonathan Cory McKaig (Lindsey) of Dayton, TN; six grandchildren, Nathaniel Barton (Aaryn), Joanna Barton, Jake Dunn, Chasity Herman (Phillip), Jeremy Dunn and Robert Ogburn; four great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, Faith, Hannah and Rachel McKaig; two sisters, Nell Jean Bridges and Ira Norsworthy both of Geneva, AL and a host of special nieces and nephews.
