JoAnn Hatcher Wade, age 90, of Enterprise, AL went home to be with her LORD on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Flowers Hospital of Dothan.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Meadowlawn Cemetary Enterprise, AL with Dr. Ben Bowden officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.

JoAnn was a retired nurse, having worked many years in Enterprise, AL with two esteemed doctors, Dr. James Stanley and Dr. William Mitchell.  She retired from nursing at the young age of 69.  She loved working in her yard, travelling, line dancing, and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Mattie Abercrombie; brothers Ray Abercrombie and Samuel Abercrombie; sisters Sue Sconyers, Frances Albritton, and Hazel Ellison.

Survivors include daughters, Donna Wells (Richard), Prattville, AL; Rhonda Bowden (Bill), Enterprise, AL; a son, Coleman Hatcher (Donna), Dothan, AL; five grandchildren, Stuart Peters (Hope); Jana Crim; Brandi Dowling (Matt); Sabrina Obert (John); Jason Hatcher; five great-grandchildren, Brianna; Ryan, Sam, Ben, and Harper; sister, Melba Jackson, Dothan, AL; several beloved nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff of caregivers on South Hall, Wesley Place of Dothan.
