ABBEVILLE, ALABAMA. . .JoAnn Olasky Hawkins, a resident of Abbeville, died Monday afternoon, May 2, 2022, in the Henry County Health & Rehab. She was 80.

       There are no memorial or funeral services planned at this time. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

       Ms. Hawkins was born in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of the late Joseph Olasky, Jr. and Edna Pearl Lohr Olasky. She lived most of her lifetime in Cleveland before moving to Eufaula in 2016.

       Surviving relatives include her husband, Wilbert L. Hawkins, Sr., two daughters, Sandra Hawkins Tackett (Chad), Barberton, Ohio; and Pam Hawkins, Lakeland, FL; a son, Wilbert L. Hawkins, Jr. (Diane), Eufaula; a sister, Bernice Haywood; a brother, Joseph Olasky;  three grandchildren, Samantha Blubaugh, Dennis Staton, Jr. and Hailey Fleming Hawkins, seven great-grandchildren.
