ABBEVILLE. . .Joe Earl Davis, a resident of Abbeville, died Thursday, July 9, 2020, at his home. He was 77.

     Graveside services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, July 11, 2020, in the Pilgrim Rest Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend George Bryan officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

     Mr. Davis was born and reared in Henry County, son of the late Charles Lassiter Davis and Eunice Lucille Williams Davis. He lived most of his lifetime near the Wills Crossroads Community. Mr. Davis was retired as a Crane Flagger in heavy construction. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Wendell Davis.

     Surviving relatives include two daughters, Tiffany Michelle Coleman and Sheila Jo Davis;  a sister, Shirley Lemons, Tuscaloosa; and a brother, Ricky Wayne Davis, Headland; nieces, Jerusha Kirkland, Karla Lemons and Nicole Barksdale and a nephew, Grant Lemons.
