Joel Braxton Adkison of Elba, AL passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019.  He was 76.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Goodman Baptist Church with Reverend Marcus Ramer and Reverend Charles Metcalf officiating.  Burial will follow at Goodman Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Joel was born December 27, 1942 to the late Braxton and Mattie Mildred Adkison. He is preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Adkison.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Margie Ringer Adkison, Elba, AL; daughter, Stacy Lynn Marlow of Panama City Beach, FL; sister, Joan Adkison Brzon (Kenneth) of Belleville, KS; sister-in-law, Patti Adkison of Enterprise, AL; grandchildren:  Jordyn Nicole York, Tristan Michael Marlow and Neely Makayla Marlow; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will accept flowers or donations can be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Joel.
