Joel Cleveland Oliver passed away June 1, 2023 at Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ozark, Alabama. He was 69 years old.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark, Alabama. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 am with the Revs Scott Thompson and Jim Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Pondtown Church Cemetery in Hartford, Alabama with Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Homes directing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Cleveland and Opal Criswell Oliver; his sisters Mary Oliver Wilcox, Norma Oliver McArthur, Louise Oliver Fowler and Betty Oliver Fowler; two sons Joseph Nelson Oliver and Joel Ryan Oliver; one daughter Kristy Oliver; one nephew Gregory McCullough.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Riley Oliver; niece Victoria Shaffer (Travis); nephew Allen Riley; and sister in law Teresa McCollough (Heather).
