John B. Locklin of Dothan passed away Friday, December 30, 2022, at the age of 70.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with Dr. Bradley Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the church.

John was born March 14, 1952, in Florida to the late Felix Burrell Locklin and Martha Amann Locklin. John enjoyed spending his time watching Alabama football, fishing, hunting, and playing golf. He will be remembered as a great father, grandfather, and brother who loved his family beyond words.

In addition to his parents, Felix and Martha Locklin, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Locklin, and daughter, Tressa Locklin McQueen.

Survivors include his sons, Brett Locklin (Christy Snell) and Jacob Locklin (Lena); son-in-law, Jason McQueen; grandchildren, Seth McQueen, Will McQueen, Grant McQueen, Molly McQueen, Claire Locklin, Brycen Locklin, Emily Stewart, Callie Locklin, and Raylan Locklin; sister, Tina Barron Locklin; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Jim Whaley, Mike Ingram, Steve Butler, Bobby Dean, John Ellerbee, and Drew Pennington.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Buster Holloway, Billy Thorn, Randall Williams, and Jimmy Golden.
