John David Ducker,70, of Dothan, AL., died Tuesday morning, 11 June 2019 at 0650 am, at South East Medical Center of Dothan. David as he was known by all who knew him, was a native of Malone, FL.

Funeral will be conducted on Saturday, the 15th of June 2019, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel at 12 p.m. with Rev. John Smith of First Baptist Church of Malone, FL officiating. The viewing will start Saturday 9:00 am to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. David will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park next to his long awaiting and loving wife, Martha Ann Ducker.

David was an excellent husband and father. He was an old country boy from Malone, FL. He graduated from Malone High School and joined the Army, where he did two tours in Vietnam to protect this glorious country which he loved so much. David was a humble, proud and unselfish man. He married Martha Ann Monet who was the mother of four children, Anthony, Cynthia, Leonard and Fidel and raised them as his own. He raised them and devoted himself to their wellbeing. He installed values in them while they grew up that ensured they would become strong independent members of the Alabama Culture “Roll Tide” which was always his motto. But. He taught them that hard work, honesty, pride and dedication in what you do is the only way to true happiness. He was a simple man who enjoyed many hobbies and activities from fishing, hunting, picnics, taking care of chickens, and his dog, Patch. David was very special to us because a man so devoted to our mother, His wife Martha, and helping her raise their four children. He had none of his own blood with our mother but raised us as if we were his true blood. We want to thank David for all the special times that you showed us as we were growing up. Teaching us all how to hunt, fish, drive and what a hard day’s work really meant. God broke the mold when he created David because there is not a better man, father or husband in this world. He loved us all with all his heart and made sure that we were provided for every day of our lives. There are not enough words to express how much we loved you David. Our hearts are filled with sorrow at his passing, although we ask God why David. We understand that our David was ready to go and be with his loving wife and our mother and God was only answering his prayers. We thank God that he did not suffer, and he will once again be with his true love, our mother. We are saddened at this great lost as their will never be another man as wonderful and great as David, but happy to know that he is where he is now happiest in heaven with our mother. When David was in his last hours our brother, Leonard, told us that David whispered to him that he could see mamma, so in this we know it was only God’s mighty grace showing him the way home to our mother. David will be missed, and his humorous and joyful love will be forever in our memories until we meet him and mother again in the kingdom, where we will celebrate and drink a Busch Lite and salute “Roll Tide”. We will forever love you David, this is not goodbye, but so long till we meet again in heaven

He is survived by his four children, Cynthia Harrison, Anthony, Leonard, and Fidel Algarin, all of AL; and his last surviving brother, Jimmy Frank Ducker. It would not be complete without mentioning his dog, Patch, and his chickens, Ashley, Leroy, and Billy Bob, all of Dothan, AL.
