John R. Yoakum

John R. Yoakum, a resident of Skipperville passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at his residence. He was 83 years old.

Mr. Yoakum was born on March 14, 1938 in Jackson, Mississippi. He was a graduate of Fairhope High School. Mr. Yoakum was very quiet, but his wit and dry sense of humor made him an impossible character to forget. He loved animals and loved being outside.

Mr. Yoakum was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Yoakum and by his brother, Pat Yoakum.

Survivors include his daughters, Patricia Brannon, Hope (Steve) Webb, and Alison (Steve) Holmes; his grandchildren, Justin, Kesha, Brett, Tasha, Brannon, Alex, Abbie, Chase, and Leigha; his 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
