WEBB. . .John Wayne Crawford, a resident of Webb, died Sunday morning, October 9, 2022, in a Dothan hospital. He was 78.

            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 13, 2022, in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Ray Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Thursday in the sanctuary of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.

            Wayne Crawford was born and reared in Houston County, near Ashford, son of the late L. C. Crawford, Jr and Inez Hicks Crawford. He moved Webb in 1972. Wayne was engaged in farming most of his lifetime. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Money Crawford, and two brothers, Jerry Crawford and Donnell Crawford.

            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Tracy Weiss (John), Webb, AL; and Melissa Martin, North Aurora, Illinois; two sons, Wallace Crawford (Sheri), Ashford; and Christopher Crawford, Webb, AL; a sister, Inith Killebrew Crawford, Newville;

fourteen grandchildren, Kevin Crawford (Seneidrah), Matt Crawford (Tara), Alex Crawford, Kaci Harrell (Justin), Macy Crawford, Harley Crawford, Carley Crawford, Christopher “Bubba” Crawford, Jr., Sam Frank Crawford, Michael Farmer, Ryan Farmer (Cynthia), Monica Johnson (Jay), Miriah Perez (Louis), and Margaret Martin; numerous great-grandchildren.
