A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11am from the Sunset Memorial Park Chapel. The family will be receiving friends from 10am until 11am. Johnnie will be laid to rest in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.








Your Legacy Will Never Be Forgotten Johnnie Davis “Bluedy” Turner, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Johnnie departed on February 15, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and strength.


Born on July 26, 1931, Johnnie was a beacon of light and strength to all who knew him. His life was a testament to the power of love, hard work, and dedication.


Johnnie was a man of many talents and passions, known for his unwavering commitment to his family and ability to bring joy and structure into every room.


Preceding him in death were his beloved parents, Arlene and Herbert L. Turner; his daughter by love, Ruth Reynolds; his sons, Johnnie Davis Turner Jr., Charlie Louis Turner, and Danny Turner; and his siblings, Carylon Quarels, Dorothy Lee Williams, and Homer “Buddy” Turner Sr. Their memories will forever be cherished and remembered.


Johnnie leaves behind his loving wife of many years, Mrs. Willie Bell “Sally Bee” Turner, who stood by him through every season of life. Together, they built a family founded on love, respect, and joy. He is also survived by his devoted children, Betty Kitchens, Glory Faye Turner, Sabrina Brown, Archie Turner, Roy Turner, Albert (Kathy) Turner, George (Ann) Turner, Harry Turner, Tyris Turner, one special granddaughter, Shenique Turner and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Each of them carries a piece of Johnnie’s heart and spirit, and they will continue to honor his legacy throughout their lives. Johnnie’s life was a guiding light, a source of wisdom, and a pillar of strength for many.


His legacy will live on in the stories told, cherished memories, and shared love. Johnnie Davis “Bluedy” Turner will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. Rest in peace, dear Johnnie. Your legacy will never be forgotten.
