Johnnie Johnson, age 85, formerly of Troy, Alabama passed away surrounded by family, early Monday morning, February 7, 2022 at Signature Health Care of Graceville, Florida.

Johnnie was born July 13, 1936 to John Thames and Ollie Bell Smith Thames. She was married many years to Gerald Johnson.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.

Johnnie is preceded in death by her parents John Thames and Ollie Bell Smith Kyser; son Johnny Ray Johnson; son-in-law Mike Smith; brother Huey Thames; sisters Sybil Thames Martin, Pearl Williamson.

She is survived by her daughters Jennifer Johnson Smith, Jamelle Johnson Daughtry (Steve); granddaughter Logan Daughtry (Sweet Pea); great granddaughter Elizabeth Rushing, great grandson Camden Rushing; brother Ricky Reynolds; sisters Lucille Rogers, Mary Cook, Jean McLaughlin; special nieces Marie Cook and Dawn Hutchinson as well as many nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Kitty Kottage at 131 E. Selma Street Dothan, AL 36301.
