DOTHAN. . .Johnny Randy Bowman, Jr., a resident of Petersburg, Virginia, formerly of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022, in Petersburg. He was 47.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M Friday, October 14, 2022, in the Midland City Cemetery with Reverend Ricky Martin officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside services.

Randy Bowman was born in Headland and was raised in Dothan. He lived in Dothan most of his lifetime before moving to Petersburg, Virginia in 2021. Randy was employed by Marten Trucking Co. as a truck driver. He was formerly employed by Sabel Steel in Dothan. Randy was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hayden Mills.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Seth Bowman and Lance Bowman, both of Columbia; step-children, Chad Fulford (Catherine), and Heather Fulford, the mother of his children, Donna Hill Bowman, Columbia; his mother, Jeanette Whatley (Tony), Dothan; his father, Johnny Bowman, Kinsey; sisters, Tracy McNulty, Sandra Cornell and Lori Daniels, and half-sisters, Pam Vinson, Geneva Bowman, Sara Lozey and Amanda Whatley, half-brothers, James Bowman, Timothy Vinson and Lorezo Whatley; grandchildren, Bryce Fulford, Weslynn Lovett, Zarine Fulford and Quinten Fulford; his maternal grandparents, Lawanna and James Cheshire, Level Plains.
