Joni Kyoko Fowler, a resident of Newton, AL passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021. She was 65.

Joni was born on October 3, 1955 in Bethesta, Maryland to Sam and Gladys Scott. She was a nurse for over 40 years and retired from Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL. Joni loved all animals and enjoyed taking care of them. In her pastime, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son, Michael Fowler; three grandchildren, Samantha Fowler, Aayden Fowler and Teagan Fowler; her sisters, Nona (James) Gordon and Gail Jamieson; her brother, Sam B. Scott, II; and several nieces and nephews.
