Juanita Arnold

Juanita Arnold, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Flowers Hospital. She was 93.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday morning.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes, 1302 Ross Clark Circle, Dothan, AL 36301.

Mrs. Arnold was born June 11, 1919 in Columbus, GA and lived the early part of her life there. She moved to Dothan as a teenager and later married Hubert Arnold in 1938. She worked in the accounting department at Montgomery Ward for nearly 30 years. Mrs. Arnold loved to cook, was an avid gardener and an excellent homemaker. She was an active member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

She is predeceased by her husband; her parents, Howard and Lougenia Quattlebaum; three brothers, T.G. Hicks, Louie Quattlebaum, and Howard Quattlebaum; and a sister, Edna Kirkland.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin Arnold (Anita) of Brierfield, AL and Jeff Arnold of Dothan; two granddaughters, Andrea Flowers (David) of Raleigh, NC and Julie Holmes (Donald) of Webb; five great grandchildren, Timothy, Paul, Sarah, Hannah, and Joshua Holmes; several nieces and nephews also survive.
