NEWVILLE…Juanita Nolin Cureton, a resident of County Road 7, Newville, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at noon, in a Dothan hospital. She was 84.


            Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 20, 2013 in the Old Center United Methodist Church Cemetery, near Newville, with the Reverend Jerry Glover officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the mortuary in Headland from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday.


            In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Old Center United Methodist Cemetery Fund, C/O Priscilla Trawick, 4852 County Road 7, Newville, Alabama 36353. 


            Mrs. Cureton, daughter of the late Emmett Nolin and Sallie Lee Lisenby Nolin, was a native of the Bertha Community and had lived in the Old Center Community since 1946. She was a retired clerk in the Henry County Health Department and had also been employed in earlier years by the Henry County Schools as a lunchroom worker. 


            She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Morgan Cureton, and three brothers, Bernice Nolin, Bernard Nowlin, and Ross Nowlin.


            Surviving relatives include two sons, David Cureton and Dennis Cureton, both of Newville; two sisters-in-law, Bertha Cureton, of Newville and Bernell Nowlin, of Headland, and several nieces and nephews.
