OZARK…. On Thursday, February 4, 2021, Judy Blansit, our beautiful, wonderful mother and nanny left us to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was 80 years old.

            Judy was a member of Southside Baptist Church and faithfully attended for forty-five years. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on January 18, 1941 to the late Lawrence Moore and Sadie Cunningham Moore. She was a strong and dedicated Army wife to her late husband Burles Blansit for fifty-one years. She was especially proud of the family they raised together. She believed in being a good mother to their four daughters was her true calling. Her daughters are blessed in every possible way in life because of her example. She always showered love and wisdom on them as well as her grandkids and great grandkids.

            Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cynthia Melvin (Charles), Sugarland, TX, Cheryll Bass (Gary), Ozark, AL, Cathy Hart (Raymond), Ozark, AL, and Christy Raab (Michael), Woodstock, GA. Also holding her close in their hearts: eight grandchildren, Jacob Melvin (Regina), Paul Melvin (Sarah), Stacy Woodall (Chris), Adam Williams (Katie), Andy Williams (Ashley), Daniel Hart (Nichole), Katelyn Thomas (Matthew), and Joshua Raab; eighteen great-grandchildren; and her loyal furbabies, Molly and Missy.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 6,  2021 in Southside Baptist Church with Reverend Tim Bates and Reverend Chris Woodall officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the church.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Andy Williams, Adam Williams, Chris Woodall, Joshua Raab, Daniel Hart, and Matthew Thomas.

            Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 902 South Highway 123, Ozark, AL 36360.
