Julia “Judy” Peterson

Julia “Judy” Peterson, a resident of Midland City, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at her residence. She was 71.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, September 16, 2022 in Sunset Funeral Home with Brother Adam Carlee officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Headland. The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 am until service time.

Judy was born in Headland, AL on May 22, 1951. She enjoyed spending time with family and watching Alabama Football. Judy will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Randolf (Buck) and Vera Peterson; brothers, Morris Byrd Peterson, Charles Wayne Peterson and Billy Frank Peterson; and sister, Gloria Wilkinson.

Survivors include her siblings, Mary Ann and Ricky Owens; James Kenneth Peterson; Margie Ann and Marvin Peters; Pete and Melinda Peterson; Tommy and Tammy Peterson; and Len and Marie Peterson; nieces and nephews, Victoria Ann and Michael Beavers, Duwayne and Amanda Peters, Emma and Jimmy Ellis, Billy Allen and Sara Peterson, Paige and Bobby Keel, Tammy Peterson, Josh Peterson, Marie Peterson, Robert and Megan Peterson, Terry Dewayne Peterson, Charles and Teresa Peterson and Denise Peterson.

The family would like to thank Enhabit Hospice for their compassion and care. A special thank you to Adam, Floria, Rebecca, Anna, Jessica, Sloan, Cheryl and Dianna.
