Julia “Julie” Grace Brackett Heath of Geneva, AL passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023. She was 92 years old.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, AL.

Mrs. Heath was born in New Haven, CT on March 18, 1931, to the late Guy Franklin and Mary Elizabeth Weller Brackett. Julie proudly worked in the Lee County, FL school system for over 20 years. After retirement, she and her husband, Fred enjoyed many camping trips together. She enjoyed playing solitaire, and baking Christmas cookies with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Julie was also a brave breast cancer survivor.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Heath’s memory to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation: 13770 Noel Road, Suite 801889, Dallas, TX 75380.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Ginny Morgan, and one brother, Guy Brackett, Jr.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Frederick “Fred” Charles Heath; one daughter, Ginny Shiver (Clevie); one granddaughter, Amanda Hitchcock (Fred); two great grandchildren, Camryn and Terry Alberson; three step grandchildren, Autumn Cameron (Joey), Anthony Shiver, and Ashleigh Filipone (Justin); six step great grandchildren, Bayleigh Shiver, Serenity Shiver, Joleigh Cameron, Ashlynn Cameron, Elliana Cameron, and Hayden Alberson; special “Fur Baby”, Rascal; numerous nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
