Julia Parker Gurthie, a resident of Headland, AL passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 at her home. She was 72.

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday February 9^th,2022 at 1:00 PM at Midland City Cemetery with Pastor Lewis officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday February 8^th, 2022 at Family First Funeral Care from 4-6 PM

Julia Parker Gurthie was born September 19, 1949 to Robert Parker and Susie Parker. She loved to watch soap operas, listen to music, especially Elvis Presley. She enjoyed cooking, going to church and most of all raising her children.

Julia Gurthie was preceded in death by her mother and father; Robert and Susie Parker, her husband Thomas Gurthie, four brothers; Jr. Parker, Howard Parker, Donald Parker, and Walt Parker, 3 sisters; Joyce Coleman, Grace Truett, and Hazel Plair.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons; Eric (Regina) Bowman, Michael (Tim) Kozack, one daughter; Angie Klink (Tony Murphy), three sisters; Judy Keener, Pat Milner, and Sue Bowman. The father of her children; Cleve Bowman, three grandchildren; Asia Rogers, Brittany Klink, and Cheyenne (Charlie) Parrish, and three great-grandchildren; Keira Hall, Kimber Zachary, Kainlee Johnson.
