Mr. Julius Franklin (Frankie) Reeder, age 64, a resident of Ashford (formerly of Calhoun, Florida) died Sunday September 9, 2012 at Flowers Hospital following a brief illness.


 


Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday September 12, 2012 in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jerry Harden officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery with Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home directing.


 


The family will be receiving friends at Glover Funeral Home on Tuesday September 11, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Flowers will be accepted.


 


Mr. Reeder was born on November 28, 1947 in Dade City, Florida the son of the late Shelley Lee Reeder and Nora Ann Deese Reeder. He was retired as a pipe Insulator and farmer.  Mr. Reeder was a member of the Madrid Assembly of God Church and he attended Pleasant Plains Baptist Church.


 


He is survived by his wife, Shirley Corley Best, Ashford, AL.; two daughters, Alisa Rochelle Fitzpatrick, Ringgold, GA, Helen Conally, Rossville, GA; three sons,  Jasper Franklin Reeder, Blountstown, FL.; Carey Lee Reeder, Ashford, AL. Nathan Daniel Reeder, Taylor, AL.;  two step-sons Oscar Best, Jack, AL.  Gary Best, Banks, AL.; four brothers, Shelby Lee Reeder, Blountstown, FL, Billy Reeder, Jacksonville, FL, James Reeder, North Carolina, Bobby Reeder, Brooks, GA;  two  sisters, Willodine Cook, North Carolina, Dottie Lanning, Champaign, Illinois; and 1 grandchild. 


 


Active pallbearers will be: Gary Best, Oscar Best, Nathan Reeder, Kenny Powell, Robert Dyson, Don Fitzpatrick and Stan Fikes.


 


Honorary pallbearer will be James (Rooster) Boyette.
