June Granberry, a resident of Cottonwood, age 89, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018.


Funeral services for Mrs. Granberry will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mount of Olives cemetery in Cottonwood with Glover Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 10:45 am prior to the service at Glover Funeral Home Chapel.  Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 2740 Headland Avenue, Dothan, AL, 36303.


Mrs. Granberry was born in Houston County to Wyatt D. and Erie Sellers Pynes.  She raised 2 sons (Philip and Kenneth) and a daughter (Nancy).  She was the beloved wife and partner in life and business of her husband, Myras Granberry.  She was a lifelong resident of Cottonwood and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cottonwood.


She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Myras, and 3 sisters, Brunese, Dorothy and Audrey.


Mrs. Granberry is survived by Philip and Josie Granberry, Alaska, Kenneth and Yvette Granberry, Florida; Nancy and Hugh Cameron, Tennessee; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jeanette Land and Nelda and Fred Harper; and one brother Wyatt D. Pynes, all of Florida; 2 sisters-in-law, Annette Granberry and Betty Granberry both of Alabama; numerous nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers will be Philip Granberry, Kenneth Granberry, Hugh Cameron, Keith Granberry, Todd Granberry, Christopher Granberry, Nicholas Granberry and Craig Cameron.
