Karen F. Arthurs, a beacon of love and faith, passed away unexpectedly on December 25, 2023, in Panama City, Florida. Born on June 16, 1950, in West Virginia, Karen’s journey through life was marked by her selfless nature and the joy she found in simple pleasures.

For 19 years, Karen dedicated herself to the children and families at Dothan Pediatrics, where her nurturing presence was felt by all. Karen’s involvement with Harvest Church reflected her deep faith and commitment to her church family, where she was a cherished member.

Her love for life was evident in her varied interests, which included going to the beach, immersing herself in a good book or the Bible, and engaging in crosswords and crafting. Karen’s hands were rarely still, as she found joy in crocheting and creating beautiful items for those she loved. Above all, Karen cherished the time spent with her beloved grandchildren, weaving a tapestry of memories that will be treasured forever.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Griffin; her husbands, William Arthurs and Hank Johnson; and her three sisters. Her legacy lives on through her daughters, Barbara Bowman (Jason) and BJ Rodriguez (Michael); her granddaughters, Anderson Bowman and Hanna Jo Ball; her grandson, Alexander Bowman; her step-children, Jessica Johnson and Justin Johnson; her step-grandchildren, Emma and Christopher; her adored cat, Luna; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom she loved deeply.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, December 29, 2023 at Ward Wilson Funeral home with Pastor Joel Sigler officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm - 2:00pm, Friday, in the chapel.
