Keith Garner Brunson, passed away Sunday June 7, 2020 at his home with family at his side after an extended illness. He was 63. Keith was born May 6, 1957 to Genell Newsom Brunson and James Leonard Brunson, Jr of Geneva County, Alabama.


Well known in the community, Keith had many friends from all walks of life. He was generous with his time and possessions and always ready to help anyone with a need. A respected gunsmith and skilled builder, he loved working with his hands to accomplish anything he set his mind to do. Keith had the opportunity to travel the United States in the course of his work in industrial construction but home was always the Sandy Creek area of Geneva County. As an outdoor enthusiast, he was happiest barefoot on a sandbar with a favorite gun, his beloved family and the best dog ever he called Baby. He had a great life under the sun!


He was preceded in death by his father and mother.


He is survived by his daughter Sarah Elizabeth Green (Don); his son Jonathan William Brunson (Ashley); his sister Barbara Jill Parker; his brother Charles Wayne Brunson (Linda); five granddaughters, Elina Poppy Green, Finley Grace Brunson, Kennedy Brunson, Nona-Jean Brunson, Manny-Lou Brunson; one grandson, Harry Wallace Green; his nephew and nieces, Douglas Parker, Sonia Brunson and Shawna Brunson; his special extended family, Danielle Leigh Thompson and her children Christiana Michelle Thompson and Megan Geretha Thompson; his dogs Baby and Pete, his neighbor and friend Dinda Hand and a host of other friends.


A lunch time gathering in honor of his life will be held on Saturday, June 20,2020 at The Gin in Geneva across from Walmart between 11AM and 2PM. All friends and family are invited to come.



A day full of life celebrations and fun will be held at his home on


Wednesday July 8th. (7-8-2020) All friends and family are welcome to come by.
