COLUMBIA…Keith Maloy, a resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday evening, May 2, 2019, of injuries sustained in a boating accident which occurred on the Chattahoochee River in Columbia. He was 58.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. Wednesday, May 8, 2019, in the First Baptist Church of Columbia with Pastor Vann Cooley officiating and a eulogy to be given by a grandson, Hunter Ratchford. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 P.M. Wednesday in the First Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, near Samson, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday in the church sanctuary. Holman Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

     Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida 5200 Bayou, Blvd, Pensacola FL 32503.

     Keith Maloy was born in Geneva, Alabama and was reared in Panama City and  Lynn Haven, Florida. He served eighteen years in the Army National Guard. Keith was employed by the Iron Workers Local No. 798 of Mobile. Keith was an avid fisherman and hunter. He truly loved his dog,“Harley”. He was preceded in death by his father, Auther Ree Maloy.

      Surviving relatives include his wife, Tracy Lewis Maloy, Columbia; a daughter, Keisha Lynn Ratchford (Ron), Headland; a son, Arthur Trey Maloy (Ivy), Columbia; his mother, Mary Alice Clary Maloy, Geneva; a sister, Linda Bowden (Greg), Enterprise; a brother, Kevin Allen Maloy (Amy), Waterford, CT; five grandchildren, Saylor Maloy, Hunter Ratchford, Reiston Ratchford, Ryland Ratchford and Ryker Ratchford.
