WEBB, ALABAMA. . .Kenneth Auston Joiner, Sr., a resident of Webb, Alabama, died Saturday afternoon, January 2, 2021, in a Dothan hospital. He was 83.

       Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 6, 2021, in the Magnolia Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Midland City, with Brother Steve White officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Social distancing guidelines and masks will be observed. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

       Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Magnolia Free Will Baptist Church, 4062 Mance Newton Road, Midland City, AL 36350.

       Mr. Joiner was born and reared in Jefferson County, Alabama, son of the late Kenneth Alexander Joiner and Florice Ellen Johnson Joiner. He lived most of his adult lifetime in the Midland City area before moving to Webb. Mr. Joiner received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bible and History from Southern Wesleyan University in South Carolina and also a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of Montevallo. He was retired from the Airport Limousine Service. Mr. Joiner was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Auston Joiner, Jr, and a daughter-in-law, Donna Michelle Joiner.

       Surviving relatives include his wife, Mary Edwards Joiner; two daughters, Kathy Joiner, Echo, AL; and Karen Bostick (Chris Woods), California; a sister, Elizabeth Baker (Norm), Mentone, AL; and two brothers, Charles Lee Joiner (Gloria), Vestavia, AL; and Henry Joiner (Treva), Tuscaloosa; six grandchildren, Stephen Woodham, Ronnie Woodham (Katie), Andrew Joiner (Naphy), Matthew Joiner (Melissa), Rebecca Lordi (Tom), and Devon Joiner (Amber); eight great-grandchildren.
