KENNETH  FRANK  PITCHFORD

 

WEBB, ALABAMA. . .Kenneth Frank (Ken) Pitchford, a resident of Highway 52, Webb, Alabama, died early Saturday morning, February 11, 2012, of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident which occurred in Malvern. He was 50.

            Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, February 12, 2012, in the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery with Chaplain Wayne Saulter officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 P.M. Sunday in the sanctuary of the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Inside Out Prison Ministry, 3076 Douglas Ferry Road, Bonifay, Florida 32425

            Ken Pitchford was a native of Houston County and was reared in the Pleasant Plains community. He was a 1979 graduate of Houston County High School in Columbia and attended Wallace Community College. Ken was a member of the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church. He was self employed as the owner and operator of 20/20 Construction Company and had been employed in residential construction most of his adult lifetime. Ken was preceded in death by a sister, Johnna Katrene Pitchford Reid.

            Surviving relatives include his parents, Johnny and Katrene Nowell Pitchford, Pleasant Plains community; a sister, Carol Pitchford Morgan and husband, Glenn, Tumbleton community; a brother-in-law, Thomas Reid, Waynesboro, GA; nieces and nephews, Lillie Morgan, Jackson Morgan, Mark Alan Huddleston, Ceara and Bailee Reid; two aunts, Sara Pitchford, Haleburg; Joyce Starr and husband, Larry, Jasper, GA.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Brian Gamble, Dwight Gamble, Glenn Morgan, Steve Bloom, Jimmy Hollingsworth and Thomas Reid.
