Kerry Charles Jackson, 77, a resident of Dothan, passed away Friday, March 8, 2024 at Southeast Health.

Graveside services with military honors will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday (Eastern Time), March 13, 2023 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, Alabama with Pastor Troy West officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at his sister’s home in Dothan.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society,  PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.

Mr. Jackson was born August 18, 1946 in La Plata, Maryland and grew up in Yonkers, New York. Following graduation, he served his country in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a statistician with the U.S. Postal Service for many years in New York and Nebraska. Following his retirement in 2008, he moved to Dothan. Mr. Jackson was a gentle man and he enjoyed reading.  He was of the Catholic faith.

He is predeceased by his parents, Howard and Marian Kmentz Jackson, his step-mother, Ethel Jackson, three brothers, Robert Jackson, Kelly Jackson and Shawn Jackson and a sister, Deborah Jackson.

Survivors include a sister, Ann Marie “Annie” Jackson of Dothan; two brothers, Craig Jackson of Dothan and Colin Jackson of Daytona, Florida; a special friend, Tami of Dothan; several nieces including a special one, Dana Marie Jackson of Dothan.
