Kimberly J. Magerkurth of Dothan, Al passed away Wednesday, December 4, peacefully at her daughter’s home after a long battle with cancer. She was 58 years old.


 


Born in Toledo, Ohio, a graduate of Newark Highschool class of 1980, she went on to nursing school where she became a registered nurse. She practiced in many fields for over 25 years.  Taking care of others was always her passion. 


 


She was preceded in death by two grandmothers and her mother Jean Louise Magerkurth.  Kimberly is survived by her father Bill Magerkurth (Karen) of Clarksville, TN, a sister Kristina McEntire (Terry) of Jamestown, N.Y., two daughters Jessica Moore of Dothan, AL, Stacey Walsh (Jesse) of Monroe, N.C., a son Nicholas Moore (Marina) of Wellington, FL, several aunts, cousins, two nephews, her best friend Elaine Ingram and an array of friends.  Most importantly she is survived by her grandchildren whom she loved more than anything in this world, Joey Moore, Noah and Emilee Walsh, Jeffrey and Emma Varner and an unborn granddaughter.


 


A special thank you to Covenant Care Hospice for taking such wonderful care of her, especially nurse Cynthia.


 


Services will be held Sunday, December 15th at 3pm at Family First Funeral Care.  Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
