L. Keith Carmichael, 59, of New Brockton, passed away on August 14th, 2021 in Enterprise.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M, Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Keith’s uncle, Pastor Joe Carmichael officiating.  The family wishes that you maintain social distancing and wearing of masks.

Keith was born in Fort Rucker to Robert Mayo Carmichael and Rita Gail Adkinson on November 19, 1961. He went to school at Orange Park High School (Florida). He married Shirley Ann Edwards on January 15, 1983 in Woodbine, Georgia. Keith worked for the United States Postal Service for 33 years in various positions around Jacksonville, Florida. He retired in May of 2020 to fulfill his dream of returning to his hometown of New Brockton, Alabama with his wife Shirley. He also owned his own lawn care business and most recently worked for Enterprise Public Works. He always enjoyed being busy and most recently working on his land in New Brockton. 

Keith is preceded in death by daughter Amy Carmichael, grand-daughter Rebecca Morgan, sister Michelle Williams, his parents, and others.

Keith is survived by his wife Shirley Carmichael, New Brockton, AL; Daughters: Jessica Morgan (Paul Morgan), Starke, FL and Amanda Carmichael (Scott Peneau), Atlanta, GA; Brothers: Kenny Carmichael, Elba, AL, Jason Williams, New Brockton, AL, and step-brother Rusty Dowell, Ozark, AL; Grandchildren: Jordyn Morgan, Emma Morgan, and Easton Peneau.
