LaDeema Moore, age 75, of Chancellor passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, April 25,2021 at El Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Hingson and Rev. Don Tew officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service time.

LaDeema, or “Sis” as she was called by members of her family, was born on May 8,1945 in Bellwood to the late Woodrow and Dorothy Abercrombie. She attended Enterprise High School and later earned her GED. She worked in the textile factories at Geneva and Enterprise for many years before settling into her favorite role as a homemaker and mother. Later in life, she served as assistant postmaster for the United States Postal Service, and worked at post offices in Chancellor, Coffee Springs, Black, and Clopton. Her friendly service made her a favorite of the patrons. She loved children of all ages and would frequently volunteer as a babysitter. Her favorite hobby was raising daylilies. LaDeema was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church.

LaDeema was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Dorothy Abercrombie of Chancellor.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Moore of Chancellor; two sons, Mike Moore (Kim) of Ozark and Marc Moore (Vanessa) of Senoia, GA; three grandchildren, Maghen Reynolds (Eric), Mason Moore and Gabi Cline; great-grandchild, Kellen Cline; two brothers, Clarence W. Abercrombie, Jr. ( Margaret) of Daleville and Roger E. Abercrombie (Julie) of Bossier City, LA.

The family would like to express a special thanks to caregivers Cristy Oates and Jessica Costner and to SouthernCare Hospice. While flowers are welcome, the family suggests that donations be made to El Bethel Project 28 (www.elbethelbaptist.org/giving).
