HEADLAND. . .Larry Joe Gamble, a resident of the Tumbleton Community of Henry County, died Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at his home. He was 64.

     Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 24, 2019, in the New Zion Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Joey Pettis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Sunday in the church sanctuary.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Zion Free Will Baptist Church, c/o David Teat, 10033 County Road 47, Shorterville, AL 36373 or to the St. Andrew Baptist “Missions Fund”, 3010 West 15^th Street, Panama City, FL 32401.

     Mr. Gamble was reared in the Tumbleton Community and Panama City. He lived most of his adult lifetime in Panama City and also lived in Freeport, Florida before returning to Tumbleton in 2014. A Real Estate Broker, he owned and operated Gamble Investments and was also President of Eastern Lakes Estates, both in Freeport, Florida. Mr. Gamble was a member of the St. Andrew Baptist Church in Panama City. He was preceded in death by his father, James Martin Gamble, his mother, Maggie Ruth Shelley Morris, a brother, Tommy Ray Gamble, a sister, Martha Jean Ethridge, and his step-father, Henry Drew Morris.

     Surviving relatives include a daughter, Kelley Gamble Flatt (Daniel), Jacksonville, FL; a son, Thomas Gamble (Chelsea), Panama City; two grandchildren, Avery Flatt and Abigail Gamble; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Ethridge, Tumbleton Community; and the mother of Larry Joe’s children, Pamela Griggs Gamble, Panama City.
