Lavania Herrington “Tootsie” of Dothan, AL passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at the age of 88. 

She was born to the late Richard Q. and Rosa Mae (Stuckey) Padgett on June 10, 1932 in Florida.

Funeral service 2 PM, Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service.

Lavania was a member of the Kinsey Baptist Church, where she spent many years as a Sunday school teacher.  She was well known by many for her lavish flower gardens, a well-kept yard, but most importantly bringing her family together.  Anyone that would meet her would say she was full of love, sunshine, and had a vibrant uplifting spirit.  

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roland Leon Herrington and three brothers.

 Survivors include, several nieces, nephews, and loving family members, and special friend of the family, Robert Pflug.

 The family would like to thank the neighbors of Lavania for their care and support during this time, along with the wonderful staff at Southeast Medical Center, and her church family.
