Lee Vaughn Wells, a resident of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at home. He was 83.


 


Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, August 17, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Elder Charles Roling and Elder Fred Averett officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery.


 


The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 16, 2012, from 6 to 8 P.M. At other times, the family will be at 1686 Blackman Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Union Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Elder Eugene Conner, 90 Deefe-Conner Rd. Kinsey, AL 36303.


 


He was preceded in death by his wife Roselle Nall Wells, parents, Tommy Wells and Ida Wells Nall, brothers, Willouby and Ray Wells.


 


Survivors include his children, Billy (Gale) Wells, Donna (Mike) West, grandchildren, Jason (Mandy) Wells, Jessica Wells, Tonya (Mike) Holland, Torri West; great-grandchildren, Avery & Jackson Wells, Marlee & Hank Wells, Abby & Reid Holland; sister, Bobbie Roland, Montgomery; several nieces and nephews.


 


He founded and operated Wells Supply until his retirement in 1989.


 


Pallbearers will be Jason Wells, Mike Holland, Ricky Saliba, Craig Walden, Joe Armstrong, and Bert Burkett.


Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Saliba, Glen Brown, Max Jackson, and Joe Barrick.
