Lela M. Jackson, 86, a resident of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at her residence.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2022 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Chaplain Eddie Biss officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Flowers are being accepted.

Mrs. Jackson was born November 22, 1935 in Dothan to Roy and Lillian Parrish.  She was a lifetime resident of Houston County and attended Dothan City Schools. Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church.

Mrs. Jackson is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Sonny Jackson, a sister, Dorothy Woodham and two brothers, R. L. Parrish and Rollie Parrish.

She is survived by two children, Patsy Sexton and Ricky Jackson, both of Dothan; seven grandchildren, Trent Jackson, Amber Jackson Banda, Tiffany McClenny, Stone Jackson, Steele Jackson, Savanah Jackson Lowe and Maddie Sexton Keys; six great grandchildren, Hayley, Hayden and Hayeslynn Jackson, Bailey and Bradley Spann, Mason Lowe, Slade Jackson and Libby Grace Keys; a great-great grandchild, Bentleigh and Taytum Jarvis; a brother, Emanuel “Shorty” Parrish of Taylor and a sister, Ann Holdsworth of Virginia; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Trent Jackson Stone Jackson, Steele Jackson, Ladon Parrish, Thomas Banda and Kenneth Alexander.
