Lena Pearl Leger, of Enterprise, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 at her residence surrounded by family. She was 89.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 5, 2021 from the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise. Burial will follow in Asbury cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home beginning at 12:00pm and continuing until service time.

Lena was born May 15, 1931 in Alabama to the late Wilburn Thomas and Lela Mae Lee Welch. In addition to her parents, her husband, Loyd James Leger, two grandchildren, Byron Buxton, Clinton Buxton, seven siblings and their spouses preceded her in death.

Survivors include four children: Rita Jackson, Clara Burnett, Marie Johnson (JD), Sheila Arnette (Terry); eight grandchildren: Pam Morris (Randy), Monica Miller (Michael), Shawn Zinninger (Dea), Robert Zinninger, Donna Zinninger (Nate), Chris Buxton (Angie), Adam Buxton, Brian Jackson; nine great grandchildren: Amanda Jackson (Daniel), Kristina Curtin (Dylan), Angela Harrison (TJ), Serenity Zinninger, Charlie Zinninger, Kenna Zinninger, Jordan Zinninger, Mathew Miller, Brandon Rutherford; five great-great grandchildren: Kerry Curtin, Elena Grant, Amelia Grant, Ethan Grant, Tidus Harrison; one brother Thomas “Pete” Welch (Kathy),as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
