Warren “Leslie”  Tolar, a resident of Ashford, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at his residence. He was 75.


Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Harper ‘s Joy Assembly of God Church with Rev. Thomas Harrison and his son, Rev. Jason Tolar officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Sunday prior to service time.


In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wallace Community College Foundation Scholarship Fund, (give.wallace.edu).


Mr. Tolar was born on August 9, 1947 in Houston County to George Leslie and Claudia Grace Mercer Tolar. He lived all of his life in Houston County and was a 1965 graduate of Ashford High School. He was employed with Dothan Tarpaulin Products for over 38 years. Mr. Tolar enjoyed farming and gardening as well as hunting and fishing. He was of the Assembly of God faith.


He is predeceased by his parents and his wife, Mary Ann Lolley Tolar.


He is survived by two sons, Todd Tolar of Dothan and Jason Tolar (Kellie) of Cottonwood; a sister, Rebecca Hinson (Jerome) of Ashford; a brother, Timothy Tolar (Pat) of Ashford; a grandson, Warren Caleb Tolar (Courtney) of Ashford; two great-grandchildren, Lacie Tolar and Logan Tolar of Ashford; several nieces and nephews also survive.


Active pallbearers will be Eric Tolar, David Reed, Keith Dudley, Michael Godwin, Kevin Dixon and Jamie Dykes.
