Linda C. Griffin of Dothan passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at her home. She was 78 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2019 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Mack Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Mrs. Griffin was born in Headland, AL on June 28, 1941 to the late Fed Coleman and Eugenia Hodges Cutchen. Mrs. Griffin graduated from Headland High School in 1959 and Troy State University in 1974 with a master’s degree in elementary education. She taught 30 years in the Geneva City School system. She was a loving wife, mother, and Nana. She was also a great friend and would help anyone in need. Max said she was the best assistant coach he ever had. She would hide the players in the back of the bus when Max would kick them off the team.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Jacqueline Reynolds.

She is survived by her husband Max Griffin of Dothan; one son, Greg Griffin (Missy) of Newton; two grandchildren, Kaine and Zak Griffin; one sister, Millicent Bowen (Clay); and a number of nieces and nephews.
