Linda Chancellor Hoover of Chancellor, AL passed away on Sunday, July 9th, 2023. She was 80.

 A Celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13th, 2023 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Jay Kimbro officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 1:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to El Bethel Baptist Church in her memory.

 Linda was born in Chancellor, AL on June 13th, 1943 to the late Wiley Marzell and Linnie Ruth Chalker Chancellor. She was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church and attended when her health allowed. Of late, she was fascinated with painting and watched Bob Ross to learn how to improve her love of painting. In her earlier years, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren watching movies, playing video games and just making memories with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard Chancellor and infant, Paul Chancellor.

 Linda is survived by two daughters, Sherry Smith (Murdock) of Coffee Springs, AL and Charlotte Hyatt (Lewis) of Bainbridge, GA; five grandchildren, Matthew Smith (Reagan) of Coffee Springs, AL, Lark Holley (Anthony) of Bainbridge, GA, Kaitlin Yell (Tyler) of Black, AL, Lexi Hyatt of Bainbridge, GA and Zachary Smith of Coffee Springs, AL; nine great grandchildren, Caroline, Jenna Claire, Hadley, Emersyn, Sawyer, Easton, Logan, Abigail and Chase; nephew, Mike Chancellor (Ronnie) of Chancellor, AL; niece, Karen Owens (Chuck) of Rehobeth, AL and their extended families.
