COLUMBIA. . .Linda Circle Sheppard, a resident of Henry County, between Headland & Columbia, went home to be with her Lord & Savior, Thursday, April 11, 2024, at her home. She was 65.  

            Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, April 13, 2024, in the Trinity Baptist Church, Headland, Alabama, with Dr. Jerry Grandstaff and Reverend Brandon Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. Saturday in the church sanctuary. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Judson Baptist Association Ministry Centers in Abbeville and Headland, 532 Ozark Road, Abbeville, AL 36310.

            Linda Sheppard was born and reared in Waco, Texas where she graduated from University High School in 1977. She received an Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy from McLennan Community College in Waco. Linda was formerly employed as Director of the Judson Baptist Association Ministry Centers in Abbeville and Headland. In earlier years, she raised her family as a homemaker and supported her husband in the churches they served. Linda was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Most of her adult lifetime, she was involved as a leader in Children’s Ministries. Many children came to know the Lord from Linda’s loving influence. Linda lived in the Bertha Community of Dale County before moving to the Headland area in 2006.

            Surviving relatives include her husband, Reverend Dan Sheppard, a daughter, Ellen Sheppard, Dothan; a son, Dr. Thomas D. Sheppard, Alexandria, VA; her parents, Reverend Harry M. Circle and Ellen W. Circle, Columbia; a sister, Cindy Morgan (Jimmy), Clarksville, TN; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law from the Sheppard family and several nieces and nephews.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Eric Baxley, David Baxley, Kealan Hatfield, Christian Hatfield, Hasten Walker and Danny McLean. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Men of Trinity Baptist Church and the men of Baxley Blowpipe, Inc.
