A celebration of Linda's life will be held at 2 pm on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, with Pastor John Thomas officiating. It will be an opportunity for friends, family, and community members to honor a life well-lived and to share memories of a woman who touched so many hearts. Linda will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, where she will be surrounded by the beauty of nature she so adored. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 1:30 pm until the time of service. It will be a time to come together in fellowship to remember Linda and the profound impact she had on all who were blessed to know her.

Linda Marie LeBaron, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully at her home in Ashford, AL, on February 5, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on November 7, 1947, in Maryland, Linda was a person whose life was defined by devotion—both to her friends and to her faith.

Linda's journey began as the cherished daughter of John S. and Cecille Higbee LeBaron. She grew up alongside her brother, Robert John "Bob" LeBaron, both of whom preceded her in death. Throughout her life, Linda's actions were a testament to the values instilled in her by her loving parents.

For many years, Linda served diligently as a claims adjuster with Allstate while residing in Texas. In 2003, she found her way to Dothan, where she eventually embraced retirement. Linda's professional life was marked by an exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to helping others, traits that endeared her to colleagues and clients alike.

Linda's heart was truly at home in Ashford, where she was lovingly known as a private and detailed-oriented lady, with an organizational skill that bordered on the meticulous. Her love for her church family at Ebenezer Baptist Church was profound. She taught Sunday School for children from the first to sixth grade, sharing her love for crafts and her unwavering faith with the youngest members of her community. A faithful and sweet soul, Linda was described as a sincere lady who was devoted to her church and to God.

Beyond the church doors, Linda's interests were diverse and joyful. She had a deep affection for cats and birds, finding beauty and companionship in her furry and feathered friends. Her love for life was also expressed through her participation in Jazzercise and water aerobics at Westgate Recreation Center, where she was a regular and enthusiastic presence.

Linda's selflessness and loving nature were evident to all who knew her. The words that best describe her—faith-filled, selfless, loving—paint a picture of a woman who lived her life as a reflection of the love she received and the love she gave. A well-known quote that Linda often found solace in was from the Book of Proverbs, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." This biblical wisdom encapsulated Linda's approach to life, always seeking guidance and strength from her unwavering faith.

Survivors include her very special friends, Peggy and Shelley Goocher, Joyce Culbreth, Shorty Taylor, and Martha Jean Knight and her church family from Ebenezer Baptist Church. Linda Marie Lebaron's legacy is one of kindness, service, and faith. Her memory will continue to inspire those she left behind, and her spirit will remain a guiding light for all who walk the path of compassion and devotion.
