Linda Salter Bowden of Idabel, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012 in Texarkana, TX.  She was 65.

           Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Asbury Cemetery with Rev. Huey Norwood officiating.  Burial will follow with Searcy Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at Searcy Funeral Home on Saturday beginning at 9:00 A.M.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tribute # 31445656, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.

           Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Jewell and Dewey Salter, three brothers, Junior, Billy Dale and Lomax.

 

          Survivors include her husband, Jim Bowden, Idabel, OK; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deana Bowden Moss (Lowell) Weatherford, TX; Lora Bowden Whitehead (Kyle) Enid, OK; four grandchildren, Allen and Jordan Moss; Austin and Kyleigh Whitehead; four sisters, Betty Bowman, Swanton, MD; Ann Erickson (Ken) New Brockton, AL; Deborah Hutchinson, Dothan, AL; Cindy Salter, Auburn, AL; two brothers, Randolph Salter (Deloris) Clayhatchee, AL; Jimmy Salter, Enterprise, AL; sister-in-law, Bonnie Millward (Harry); many nieces and nephews.
