Linda Sue Odom Shiver, age 74, a resident of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Southeast Health.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday March 25, 2023, at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Don Tew officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm prior to services.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Enon Baptist Church Building Fund, 3167 iris Road, Dothan, Alabama 36301.

Linda was born March 14, 1949, in Washington County, Florida to the late George Baston and Edna Merle Odom. She spent her early years in Chipley and is a 1967 Graduate of Chipley High School.  She moved to Marianna in 1967 when she married James Shiver. They later moved to Preston, Georgia and have been in Dothan since 1974. Linda attended Wallace Community College and graduated with her associate degree. She worked as a Hostess at Heritage Baptist Church for many years. Linda worked as a title clerk at Bondy’s Ford, an office manager for Dr. Bruce Woodham, she worked at Holloway Credit Bureau, and later retired from Oncology Supply. Linda loved gardening, flowers, and taking care of her chickens. She was a member at Mount Enon Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, JoAnn Adams.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, James “Jim” Shiver; son, Jason Shiver (April) of Dothan; daughter, Amanda Hampton (Eric) of Ashford; brother, Ronnie Odom (Jean) of Cottondale; grandchildren, Hannah Chancey (Dylan) of Dothan, Ethan Hampton of Ashford, Harmony Hampton of Ashford, Jacob Shiver of Dothan; great-granddaughter, Ella Kate Chancey.
