LIZZIE JEANETTE MILLER

HEADLAND, AL… Lizzie Jeanette Miller, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Tuesday night, October 11, 2022, at a Dothan hospital. She was 88.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 14, 2022 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Dr. David Baker officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held 3:30 P.M. Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Grand Bay Cemetery in Grand Bay, Alabama with Brent Shirah and Brandon Shirah speaking. A visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. prior to the graveside service, at First Baptist Church in Irvington, Alabama. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

          Mrs. Miller was born in Oriental, North Carolina to the late Dorman Sellers and Minnie Plum Whealton. She lived most of her life in the Grand Bay, Alabama area before moving to the Headland, Alabama area four years ago. She worked and retired as a seamstress from the Lee Company. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Irvington, Alabama, where she was very active in her Sunday School Class and the Senior Saints.. Mrs. Lizzie enjoyed attending the Webb Senior Center where she participated in several games including dominoes, Chinese checkers, and cards. She showed her love to her family and friends by sewing and hemming clothes for them. She also enjoyed participating and being a member of the T.O.P.S..

          Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Miller; her daughter, Janet Beacham; her sons, Edward Beacham and Michael Beacham; her sister, Carol Sellers; her brothers, Butch Sellers, Jerry Sellers, and Larry Sellers; and a great-grandson, Bentley Shirah.

          Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughter; Diane Shirah (Tommy) of Headland, AL; her brother, Robert Sellers of Dothan, AL; her ten grandchildren; her twenty-one great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
