BLUE SPRINGS, ALABAMA. . .Lois Hadley Roberson - born August 31, 1949, departed this life at age 74 on January 14, 2024. Mrs. Roberson was a resident of Blue Springs, Alabama, and a former resident of Loxley, Alabama. At the time of her death, Mrs. Roberson was in the care of The Waterford at Creekside in Pensacola, Florida, and Emerald Coast Hospice.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Peat “Buster” Hadley and Linnie B. Parker Hadley, and siblings, Charles Everette Hadley and Linda Castle Hall. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Roberson of Blue Springs, AL; her children - Jenisa Ryals (Jimmie Cummings) of Enterprise, AL, and Jerod Ryals of Loxley, AL; four step-children, Ross Ryals (Susan), Auburn, AL, Jason Roberson (Frannie), Brandi Hurst (J.R.), and Brock Roberson (Yvonne), all of Eufaula, AL; six siblings, Edward “Pete” Hadley (Julia), Lola Ryals, Earl Hadley (Dottie), Lilly Middleton, Elaine Giles (Derial), and Charles “Bubba” Hadley (Cyndy), all of Loxley, AL; eight grandchildren - Zander Quinley, Gus Ryals, Mattie Ryals Bentley (Parker), Connor Ryals, Hayden Wade (Tanner), Lainey Littlefield, Zackery Roberson, and Charlee Roberson; and many other family members and friends.

During most of her professional life, Mrs. Roberson was employed with law firms in Bay Minette and Montgomery, Alabama, serving in various roles including legal assistant, bookkeeper, and office manager. After experiencing physical challenges that made it extremely difficult for her to continue full-time employment, Mrs. Roberson returned to Loxley and opened a used car business located on Hwy 59, which she operated for several years while enjoying the opportunity to assist and serve the people of Baldwin County.

A long-time member of the Loxley Church of God, Lois lived by faith, virtue and prayer; a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Lois’ greatest role and joy in life was taking care of her family and assisting those in need. Family was a priority and Lois demonstrated that, first as a young teen helping care for younger siblings, nephews and nieces; then as a wonderful mother to her children; a proud and devoted grandmother; and, in later years providing care for her elderly parents. A true beauty inside and out, she will be greatly missed and fondly remembered as she dances on the streets of gold in the presence of her Creator, her Lord Jesus Christ, by whom she is highly favored.

A memorial service for Lois will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 25, 2024, in the Pine Level Baptist Church, near Louisville, Alabama, with Pastor Jason Waddell officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 A.M. in the church sanctuary.

In lieu of flowers, Tribute Donations may be made in memory of Lois Hadley Roberson to the Alzheimer’s Association at act.alz.org.

Thank you to the many friends who have prayed for Lois during her recent decline, and to her caregivers for their service and support.                                             Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations, Alabama, is in charge of arrangements. Mack Funeral Home, Robertsdale, Alabama, will be assisting the family in Loxley, Alabama.
