Mr. Louie H. Thomas of Enterprise passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the family residence.  He was 78.

 

Funeral services will be at 10:00 Thursday, July 24, 2014 in the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise with Reverend Billy Cardwell officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

 

Mr. Thomas was born November 17, 1935 in Coffee County to the late Dewey Hubbard and Elma Leola Grooms Thomas.  He retired from the Enterprise Water Department after 35 years of service.

 

His parents, as well as his siblings, Dewey Thomas, Huey Thomas, Ola Shirah, and Shirley Hudgins all preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Thomas of Enterprise; 2 sons: Michael Thomas (Carie) of Enterprise, and Steven Thomas (Mary) of Andalusia; 1 daughter: Stacy Thomas of Enterprise; 2 sisters: Mary Walters of Tuscaloosa and Betty Jones (Ferrel) of Dothan; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
