Bertha Louise Spann Pridgen, 76, of Hacoda, Alabama passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 at her home. She was 76 years old.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. on November 16, 2021 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home, 2744 West Magnolia Avenue, Geneva, Alabama 36340 with Reverend Wesley D. Ard and Matthew W. Ard officiating. Burial will follow in the Flat Creek Assembly of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home starting at 10:00 a.m.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made in Mrs. Pridgen’s memory to Flat Creek Assembly of God Cemetery, c/o Maggie Nowling, 412 County Road 72, Chancellor, Alabama 36316.

Mrs. Pridgen was born January 29, 1945 in Coffee County, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Raymond A. Spann and Bertha Elizabeth Mock Spann. Mrs. Pridgen loved working in her yards and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Hacoda Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Dorsey, James, Eddie Ray and Robert Spann and sisters Nell Powell, Vermeil McDougald, and Ther Mae Barnes.

Survivors include her dedicated and loving husband of 56 years, William Pridgen of Hacoda, AL; her daughters, Melody Crews (Tim) of Samson, AL, and Joy Purinton (Bo) of Dothan, AL; her grandchildren, Will Harper (Kelsey) of Slocomb, AL, Katie Weeks of Slocomb, AL, Faith Ann Carroll (Levi) of Crestville, FL, and Christopher Weeks (Madison) of Opp, AL; and great grandchildren Aiden, Eli and Liam Carroll, Easton Harper and Everett Weeks; her siblings Rayburn Spann, Mary Ward, Maggie Nowling, Randall Spann, Edna Yates and Lois Ard; special family/friends Roger and Brenda Pridgen and Chris, Priscilla, Ben and Abbi Mead.

Pallbearers are Will Harper, Christopher Weeks, Shane Pridgen, Dewayne Nowling, Chris Mead and Ben Mead.
