 Loutrell O. Gilbert of Bonifay, FL passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Flowers Hospital. She was 84 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Rita Barefoot and Rev. Judy Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Loutrell was born in Holmes County, FL on February 19, 1938 to the late Charlie and Myrtie Smith Odom. Mrs. Gilbert worked and retired from Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva after many dedicated years as an R.N. Her favorite pastime included reading and sewing.  She was a loving mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Eugene Gilbert; son, Ronald Eugene “Rolo” Gilbert; two brothers, William Frank Odom and Terrell Odom.

She is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Eldridge (Leon); three grandchildren, Ward Eldridge and his fiancé, Meredith Smith, Matthew Eldridge, and Cara Grace Eldridge; and several nieces and nephews.
