Lydia Rena Berry, a resident of Dothan passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023, at her residence. She was 80.

Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday morning. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, 1001 S. Bell Street, Dothan, AL 36301.

Ms. Berry was born October 17, 1943, in Edison, Georgia to Shelby B. Armstrong and Pauline Parker Watkins. She grew up in Edison, Georgia, and was a graduate of Calhoun County High School. In 1968, she moved to Dothan and worked in the trucking and transportation industry. She was employed with AAA Cooper Transportation for 40 years prior to her retirement. In later years, she focused on gospel sings, singing in various choirs in the Wiregrass area.

Ms. Berry is predeceased by her mother, her father, and her sister, Elizabeth Brooks.

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Kohnhorst (Robert) of Dothan; a special cousin, Michael James Parker (Ginger) of Rome, Georgia; a special friend, Andy Wood (Angie) of Dothan; special extended family members, Amber Carr, Danny and Rosemary Rock, Randy and Carrie Rock, Pam and John Lewis, Mary and Bill Licht, Jerry Kohnhorst, Jan and Mike Carswell and Kathy Pine.
