Madrue Forrest Majors, of Black, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at her residence. She was 88 years old. She was born on November 30, 1933, in Black, Alabama to the late Malcolm and Bonnie Forrest.

Madrue was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom Majors; sons, Gary (Edith) Majors and Greg Majors; daughter, Stephanie Lynn Majors; grandsons, Shane Cross and Brock Vinson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Black United Methodist Church in Black, Alabama with pastors Alan Meyer and Glenda Carlson officiating. Burial will follow in Black Community Cemetery with Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022, in the chapel of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Hartford from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Survivors include her daughters, Sherry Cross and Shea Wilson; son, Steve (Gwen) Majors; granddaughters, Shannon (Mitch) Bass, Jenny (Devon) Mercer, Misty (Jared) Seay, Katie Majors; grandsons, Scott (Heather) Majors, Tyler (Shania) Majors, Dustin Roy; 14 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to especially thank Day Springs Hospice for their care during this time.
